Boating Program

Our Boating/mentoring program teaches boating, knot-tying,  fishing, etc. to underprivileged children and teenagers while they interact with each other and at the same time, are mentored by role models in the boating community.

We a variety of educational and recreational programs throughout the year in the Metro Fort Lauderdale Area.  Our boating program strives to instill in the young and continue to teach people of all ages the value of integrity, sound judgment, teamwork and environmental awareness.

We do this by offering educational opportunities and access to the marine environment, regardless of means, through instruction, mentoring and coaching.   “At-risk” teenagers also learn the value of work through cleaning and preparing the vessel for each launch. Many lives are being changed through this unique program!

There are tremendous benefits on so many different levels including social interaction, teamwork, self-esteem, environmental awareness, relaxation, concentration/focus and adventure/exploration/imagination.   For our underprivileged kids, these benefits are often obvious on the first interaction.
